Abstract
Dharamshala Cricket Stadium commonly known as
the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, stands as a remarkable
fusion of natural beauty and modern sporting excellence. Nestled at an altitude
of 1,457 meters in the majestic Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, this stadium
is renowned for its breathtaking backdrop and distinctive geographical setting.
This research paper delves into the multifaceted aspects of the stadium,
including its historical development, geographical location, architectural
design, and pitch characteristics. It also examines the stadium’s growing
significance in domestic and international cricket, as well as the global
recognition it has gained due to its unique setting. Through this exploration,
the paper highlights how the HPCA Stadium has not only become a prominent venue
for cricket but also a symbol of Himachal Pradesh’s cultural and natural
heritage.
